They are beautiful in the spring, and in the winter, I can tell how cold it is by observing the curl of their evergreen leaves outside my bedroom window.
Rhodies like acid soil. Cheap gardener that I am, I side dress my three plants with sphagnum peat moss and coffee grounds. Apparently, that is good enough for them.
